What is the Services Delivery Alliance?

The SDA is a new community for professional services leaders to help you better manage and optimize your services organization. Through a network of industry leaders, this forum helps peers to share ideas and experiences as they navigate growth and operational challenges.

The Services Delivery Alliance brings together a mix of companies for a series of online working sessions - these cohorts are designed to allow leaders to share questions and learn from each other on a variety of topics including strategy, cost management, operating models, services portfolio management, sustainable growth initiatives and operational excellence.

Participating companies include ABBYY, CTS, Hyland Software, Ideagen, Intellum, Moveworks, Poppulo, Productboard, Tracelinks, and Qlik.

When do SDA cohorts take place?

Our virtual working sessions take place every 6 weeks via Zoom and are designed to create a micro-network with shared experiences who can help you advance your professional services organizational capability.

Sample agenda from a meeting of the SDA:

  • How to operationalize the design, building and sales of services offerings
  • Best practices in engaging with finance teams including revenue recognition do’s and don’ts
  • Sales enablement tactics and incentives

Post the sessions, cohort members will have access to the SDA resources and wider community.

Aside from just being a great opportunity to connect and validate ideas, you talked about the need for cross-functional alignment. The qualitative data you derive from your peers in these types of sessions is huge in helping to secure buy-in from those cross-functional teams, so I love it!

I thought the session was great, lots of good discussions, viewpoints and sharing. The discussion on intake collaboration between PS and Product as well as the lifecycle overview were really useful. The feedback on layered packages in the building block type approach with their product offerings. Finally the revenue recognition conversation with the CFO will be really helpful for ongoing debates concerning Consumption models.
